AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2014

Details on the 6th AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2014 (AKB48 選抜総選挙 2014) have been announced.

The 6th edition of this annual event will be held on June 7, 2014 at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.

The winner will be the center on AKB48‘s 37th single which will be released in August.

14 members have deciced no to participate in the election. Check out the list below.

For the first time, 80 members will be selected after the results of the AKB48 37th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 37thシングル 選抜総選挙). They will be part of the following units :

• Senbatsu members (選抜メンバー) : Rank 1 – 16
• Under Girls (アンダーガールズ) : Rank 17 -32
• Next Girls (ネクストガールズ) : Rank 33 – 48
• Future Girls (フューチャーガールズ) : Rank 49 – 64
• Upcoming Girls (アップカミングガールズ) : Rank 65 – 80

All members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48, excepted those who announced their graduation before March 22, can apply. The 2 former AKB48 members who are now part of JKT48 (Nakagawa Haruka, Chikano Rina) are also allowed to be candidates.

The registration period started on March 31 at 16:30 and ended on April 6 at 23:00.

The 14 members who have decided no to participate in the 6th AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2014 are :

• AKB48 : Katayama Haruka, Kikuchi Ayaka
• SKE48 : Kaneko Shiori, Goto Risako, Nakanishi Yuka, Kato Tomoko, Takatsuka Natsuki, Mizuno Honoka, Iguchi Shiori, Kato Rumi, Sora Miyuka
• NMB48 : Akazawa Hono, Kinoshita Momoka
• JKT48 : Chikano Rina

The voting period will run from May 20 at 10:00 to June 6 at 15:00.

Nabilah – Otenba ~Cheerful Girl~ JKT48

JKT48′s Nabilah’s photobook Otenba ~Cheerful Girl~ was released on February 28.

The shooting was done in Yokohama, Japan.

Otenba ~Cheerful Girl~ includes a special interview with JKT48 Team J member Nabilah.

Otenba ~Cheerful Girl~ gives the sensation of being on a date with Nabilah Ratna Ayu Azalia while visiting various spots of the city. The pictures show the idol in a park near the ocean, wearing a chinese dress, challenging to ride on the Ferris wheel…

The book has 52 pages. It comes with a B2-size poster available in 3 editions.

If you purchase the photobook between February 28 and March 16, you will get a ticket to participate in a photo session with Nabilah at JKT48 Theater in Jakarta.

Otenba ~Cheerful Girl~ is the 3rd photobook of a member of JKT48. The previous ones were dedicated to Melody Nurramdhani Laksani and Jessica Veranda.

Furthermore, JKT48′s new single Flying Get will go on sale on March 5.

Flying Get is a single of 5 JKT48.

JKT48′s 5th single Flying Get will be released soon.
The list of the Senbatsu members has been unveiled.
The announcement was made on February 16 at WakuWaku Japan Music Festival held at Jakarta Convention Center.
Flying Get is the tie-up song for the TV CM for WakuWaku Japan in which the members of JKT48 are making an appearance.

This single is a cover of AKB48′s hit song Flying Get (フライングゲット) performed in Indonesian.
The Senbatsu members are :

• Team J : Melody Nurramdhani, Nabilah Ratna Ayu, Jessica Veranda, Shania Junianatha, Haruka Nakagawa, Devi Kinal Putri, Ayana Shahab, Sendy Ariani, Jessica Vania, Rezky Wiranti Dhike, Ghaida Farisya

• Team KIII Team: Cindy Yuvia, Shinta Naomi, Queen Vienny Fitrilya, Viviyona Apriani, Alicia Chanzia

This is the first time that Ghaida Farisya, Sendy Ariani, Viviyona Apriani and Alicia Chanzia are part of the Senbatsu.

Cindy Gulla to graduate from JKT48

Cindy Gulla announced her graduation from JKT48.

She explained that she had learned a lot over the past 2 years and that she had realized her dreams. She decided to leave the idol group in order to experience new things.

Cindy Gulla joined JKT48 in 2011 as a 1st generation member. She is part of Team J.

The announcement was made on February 7 at the end of the live performance of Team J 2nd Stage Demi Seseorang (誰かのために ; Dareka no Tame ni).
