Watanabe Mayu, Yokoyama Yui, Iwata Karen formed Milk Planet

AKB48 members Watanabe Mayu, Yokoyama Yui and Iwata Karen formed a new idol unit called Milk Planet (ミルクプラネット).

The members of Milk Planet will play in the drama Sailor Zombie(セーラーゾンビ).

The ending theme song for Sailor Zombie is perfomed by Milk Planet. Watanabe Mayu, Yokoyama Yui and Iwata Karen are appearing as cute zombies in the PV.

AKB48 members Owada Nana, Kawaei Rina and Takahashi Juri are starring in the drama.

Sailor Zombie will start airing on April 18 on Tokyo TV.

Owada Nana, Kawaei Rina, Takahashi Juri (AKB48) in Sailor Zombie

AKB48 members Owada Nana, Kawaei Rina and Takahashi Juri will be starring in the drama Sailor Zombie (セーラーゾンビ).

The 3 girls play the roles of high school students fighting against zombies while continuing their studies.

AKB48 Kenkyuusei member Mukaichi Mion will also make an appearance in the drama as a cute zombie.

In addition, the ending theme song is performed by the idol unit Milk Planet (ミルクプラネット) consisting of Watanabe Mayu, Yokoyama Yui and Iwata Karen.

Sailor Zombie contains a total of 12 episodes. The drama will start airing on April 18. It will be broadcast every Friday night on Tokyo TV (テレビ東京).

The series is directed by Inudo Isshin.

Enterbrain's Famitsu began streaming an introduction movie on Friday for the upcoming arcade game Sailor Zombie ~AKB48 Arcade Edition~, which stars idol group AKB48 as zombies. The arcade game will arrive in Japanese arcades in April.

Sailor Zombie ~AKB48 Arcade Edition~ features members of idol group AKB48 as zombies. Players are able to play alongside one out of seven members (Yuko Oshima, Mayu Watanabe, Yuki Kashiwagi, Rina Kawaei, Anna Iriyama, Mako Kojima, Miki Nishino) of the group as they work together to shoot the zombies with an antidote and turn them back into humans. Along with fighting large monsters and curing members of AKB48 from the zombie infestation, there are also in-game rhythm games that must be completed at random points throughout the story. "Gingham Check" and "Flying Get" are among the four songs available.

The 3-D zombie faces were created using a scanner to obtain the facial structures of the real AKB48 members, off which each zombie was based.
A playable version of Sailor Zombie ~AKB48 Arcade Edition~ will be showcased at Japan Amusement Expo 2014 this Friday and Saturday.
