Maeda Atsuko – Moratorium Tamako

The movie Moratorium Tamako (もらとりあむタマ子, Tamako in Moratorium) starring Maeda Atsuko will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 25.

Former AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda plays the role of Tamako, a girl who has just graduated from a university in Tokyo and who is back to her hometown of Kofu. Without a job, she spends her time eating, sleeping, reading manga, and playing video games instead of helping her father living alone with her…

The film was directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro.

Moratorium Tamako was premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2013.

The movie was released in theaters in Japan on November 23, 2013.

The DVD and the Blu-ray include making-of footage, comments by Maeda Atsuko.

Maeda Atsuko – Seventh Code

Maeda Atsuko’s new solo single Seventh Code (セブンスコード) will be released on March 5.

The theme is Russia. The CD artwork is inspired by the Russian avant-garde of the 1910s.

Seventh Code is the theme song for the movie of the same name starring former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko.

The video clip was directed by Kurosawa Kiyoshi who was the director of the movie too. He said that he was impressed by the talent of Maeda Atsuko as an actress. The filming was done in Vladivostok, Russia.

4 editions of the single are available. Each CD contains 3 songs and their instrumental versions. The coupling song is different for each one of them.

The Type A and the Theater editions include a DVD with the MV, the making-of and bonus footage.

Maeda Atsuko to be starring in Eight Ranger 2

Former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko will be starring in the movieEight Ranger 2 (エイトレンジャー2).

Maeda Atsuko is going to play as Saigo Jun who is a reporter for a weekly magazine. She follows sentai superheroes, performed by the members of the band Kanjani8 (関ジャニ∞), in their activities.

Eight Ranger 2 will be released this summer.

The film was directed by Tsutsumu Yukihito who made the MV for AKB48′s Flying Get (フライングゲット). Maeda Asuko said that she was happy to work with him again.

As its title suggests, the story is the sequel of the movie of the same name which had been a success in 2012.
